The DPM Recoil Reduction System operates through a multi-spring intricate rod (three springs) that acts like a brake on the slide, particularly in the last 6 to 8 millimeters of movement before it stops on the frame.

In some cases, the DPM Recoil System offers almost double the force in the slide's full open position compared to the factory OEM spring. This results in the slide of the pistol touching the frame gently, providing less recoil to the pistol.

Additionally, the moving parts of the pistol are protected, offering a longer life to the firearm.

Included with the system are three separate springs and one Spring Plug. These external springs vary in length and power, allowing the shooter to fine-tune the pistol's opening and locking positions (slide on the battery) according to personal standards. The longer spring, with more coils, is stronger and has a heavier pound rating than the shorter springs.

System of Multiple Springs

All springs are made of steel or high carbon steel with a cadmium (Cd) finish. The cadmium finish, which adds considerable cost to the manufacturing process, makes the spring impervious to the elements, including salt water.
