Advanced Recoil Reduction System for Sig Sauer P220 10mm Auto
The DPM Mechanical Recoil Reduction System is designed for the Sig Sauer P220 with a 5 barrel, including the Elite, Legion, and Hunter models chambered in 10mm Auto.
This innovative system utilizes a multi-spring intricate rod (3 springs) that acts like a brake on the slide, particularly in the last 6 to 8 millimeters of movement before stopping on the frame.
In some cases, the DPM Recoil System provides almost double the force in the slide's full open position compared to the factory OEM spring. This results in the slide touching the frame gently, offering less recoil to the pistol. Additionally, the moving parts of the pistol are protected, extending the pistol's lifespan.
The system includes four external springs of varying lengths and power, allowing the shooter to fine-tune the pistol's opening and locking positions according to personal standards. The longer spring, with more coils, is stronger and has a heavier pound rating than the shorter springs.
The system also includes two different spring plugs. The spring plug with the marked groove offers a heavier buffer effect, while the spring plug with a flat surface provides a lighter buffer effect in the slide's full open position.
Overall Advantages- Faster follow-up shots
- Improved firing speed
- Slide and frame protection
- Elimination of jams
- Significant recoil reduction
- Better double-tap concentration
- Better control and greater accuracy
System of Multiple Springs
The system comprises three or more springs of different sizes for specific compression, housed in a metal tube. Its mission is to control the backward motion of the slide at the moment of bullet firing. The initial pressure exhibited by the system is almost the same as the standard factory springs. However, at the final phase of the system's coiling, the pressure exerted on the slide is 80% - 100% more, preventing the slide from ramming against the frame and eliminating jams.
Materials
All metal elements are made of stainless steel W.-Nr./Grade 1.4301 (AISI 304) in a factory compliant with ISO9000 standards. All springs are made of steel or high carbon steel with a cadmium (Cd) finish. The cadmium finish, which adds considerable cost to the manufacturing process, makes the spring impervious to elements, including salt water.
